The Teapot Quilt Cottage and Garden Center is a unique store located in Montello, Wisconsin. It is owned and operated by Robert and Jean Dawidziak. Many of the store’s plants and produce come from the Dawidziak’s Lake View Farm home. The Dawidziak’s have owned the Lake View Farm, which was the 1st irrigated farm in the state of Wisconsin, since 1968.
For many years the Dawidziak’s sold plants, produce, and seasonal items from their home, various vegetable stands and flea market locations. In 1990 they decided to expand their business and opened The Garden Center at its original location of 408 Main Street in Montello. In addition to selling plants and produce, The Garden Center began selling gardening supplies, crafts, gifts, floral arrangements, jams, and jellies.
In 1999, the store was relocated across the street to 505 Main Street where it remains today and 3 years later an addition was built to include Jean’s vision of the Teapot Quilt Cottage; a warm and inviting space that sells unique gifts, decor, and supplies for sewing and quilting projects. It even has a large space where sewing and quilting classes are held!
